Afro-Squad Interview with Omega (Sirus LaVey),
by AfroSquad's SnowMan

Sirus is one of the top independent stars in the Southern states.  He and the gorgeous Vain LaVey are taking wrestling by storm.  Nothing can stop Mr. Omega!

Sirus, how are you doing today?
Great.  I am sore from training but that's every day!

Can you tell us a little about your wrestling character, Sirus LaVey?
I was trained very old-school and I believe in psychology and developing a story with my matches....not just a million high spots that mean nothing.

What is the story with the name? Where did it come from, what can you tell us about it? (Mr. Omega Sirus LaVey)
When I joined Mid-South I was a heel named Sirus. The fans would call me Sirus the Virus(I believe from a John Malkovich character).I prefer to believe it's a combination of the leader in cult movie The Warriors and the Egyptian Lord of the Underworld... My old tag partner was called "The Alpha Male" and I am "Mr.Omega"- it's a yin-yang thing...Another wrestling brother I came in with was Elijah LaVey.  So of course being a fan of Uncle Anton's books I took the name as my own.

What wrestlers if any do you model yourself after? After seeing you in person, I thought you had a Jake "the Snake" Roberts type feel.  I also saw a little bit of the Undertaker character.
Jake was my hero growing up long before he joined the WWF.  I can say he was a definite influence in my style.  Any similarities with the Undertaker are only coincidental.  I imagine he's a dark, private person much like I am.

Can you tell us about the wrestling scene in Pensacola?
It seems to be healthy with several different organizations running strong.  The more places for wrestlers to make money the better.

Who is Vain? Can you tell us about her?
Vain is my manager/valet and watches my back as is necessary.  It's not my fault if her dark beauty is quite distracting to my opponents!

Who is your favorite person to wrestle?
Mercury McLoud.  Whether it's our team of Alternate Reality or if we're opponents-the fan's get there money's worth and he pushes me to my limits.

What would be your dream match? Who would you wrestle? Why?
I would've loved to wrestle Terry Gordy before he died.  He was the first wrestler I ever saw on T.V. and was always my fave-especially when he was in Japan.  My dream has always been to wrestle in Japan.

How did you get into wrestling?
I answered an ad for a wrestling school.  I originally wanted to be a manager and hopefully one day book, but I've always been an athlete and thought if these guys can do it I can do it at least as well...

Who trained you? How much did that cost?
Mercury McLoud and I broke in at the same place and we basically trained ourselves by studying and learning the (very) hard way!  We both moved on to a T.V. promotion called Mid-South Wrestling based out of Houma.  John Saxon helped me a lot with mat wrestling skills and Crazy Joe Fargo beat a lot of the stupid out of me!  I was fortunate enough to meet wrestling legend Rod Price in Mid-South and trained under him-eventually running his wrestling school in Gulfport, MS.  It cost me a coupla grand, a ton of blood, the health of my back, and thousands more in medical bills...

What wrestling school do you recommend and why?
I will accept students.  E-mail me at siruslavey@hotmail.com or hit me up on myspace(www.myspace.com/siruslavey)

What is your favorite wrestling organization?
In the past it'd be Mid-South, the P.W.A. out of Florida, U.S.W.A. in Alabama, currently D.S.P.W.(where I'm champion), Ultimate Wrestling, U.H.P.W.(now CultureShock Wrestling), O.S.W., and Sika's group...My fav' is always whoever's paying me!

If you were wrestling on TV, what would you like the announcer to say about you?
The truth.  I bust my ass every match whether there's 20 people or 2,000.I try to have an original style.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Touring the world with my band Mortal Sorrow (www.myspace.com/mortalsorrow2) and of course wrestling, 'till I no longer can!

Do you have any role models?
My Father (R.I.P.), PaimonRa, Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy and Godzilla!

Is there anything you would like to say to the fans of NinjaPimp.com?
If you see my name on a wrestling card that's worth attending by itself!

Thanks for your time.
Thank you for the interview and exposure...See you at the matches!

Horns,
"Mr.Omega" Sirus LaVey
