I pray to God that this is some sort of sick joke. You threw your shoe at Simon Sez? Honestly? If this actually happened, I say he (along with Biff) has any and all rights to legit beat the shit out of you, not to mention have you arrested for ASSAULT, as that's what it is, an assault to throw an object at someone that could cause injury. Talk about acting like a toddler, which is what you do all the time at shows anyway.
If you really did throw a shoe at Simon, FUCK YOU for thinking that's an acceptable thing to do and you should be lucky that you don't get banned for life from the promotion for doing something that could possibly cause injury.
And people wonder why I in general hate The Afro Squad.
Dearest Blair,
I have to admit, being woke up to the news that you posted directly in response to something I said is like Christmas in June.
That said, NO ONE throw a shoe at Blair Russell. Especially a flip-flop, because those have been known to kill a man.
Back to you, Blair, as I guess this happened after you left.
First of all, let's define how we are going to deal with this. We can A) stay in "character" with you as the annoying know-it-all who tells people how wrestling should be with
The Gospel According To Blair Russell, or B) talk about this realistically as it pertains to the entertainment aspect of professional wrestling. You are smart person, so as much as I hate to do this, I'm choosing "B". This way maybe you can learn a little about me.
SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ ON IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE MYSTERY IN PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING!
Point 1) (I'm going to blow your mind with this one!) Simon was actually wrong to come up to me,touch me, and address me directly. That's right, he was. The show was over, he stayed in character, and addressed me as an individual fan. I know that's your problem with the Afro-Squad, the BSM, etc. You claim we put ourselves over. And Simon by his actions promoted that by confronting me personally. I see your point, as pertains to the wrestlers themselves, the fans should be one amorphous blob with no individual identities.
That said, why don't you berate him? Why don't you say that wrestlers shouldn't talk to fans in character after the show? The moment they say "That's all, folks", the show is over. At that point, wrestlers go back to being the people they were before the show. You can shake their hand, congratulate them on a show well done, etc. But they are done being the characters they were during the show. Simon didn't do that, so therefore, ipso facto, I was forced to stay "afro'ed". What other choice did I have? Please let me know.
Was I wrong to throw my flip-flop at Simon? Maybe. Did it let a dozen other people who didn't hear me and Simon go back and forth know that something was going on? Maybe. Was the initial wrong already committed? Absolutely. The flip-flop tossing isn't the issue, Blair. You know that as well as I do.
Point 2) You are absolutely WRONG in thinking "Da Biff" had every right to "legit beat the shit out of" me. First of all, you are mixing fantasy and reality again. "Da Biff" is a wrestler. I am not. That would involve "Da Biff" going back into character (see point 1) and would have been very, very ugly. And yes, the cops would have had to be called, headlines would have been made, and WXW would have suffered a very ugly black eye.
Point 3) Blair, why do you make things difficult? Why can't you just let people have their fun? Why do you have to be the burgermeister-meisterburger (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burgermeister_Meisterburger) of the Florida Wrestling community? Lighten up, pal. Granted, there is an inherent danger of having a wrestler call out a specific fan - people are going to want to see a build-up, conclusion, etc. Thank you for pointing that out to us. But keep in mind, I want nothing to do with being in a wrestling ring. Nothing. I went in a ring once during a practice, and never again. Don't worry your little mind about that.
Thanks again for commenting, but please don't make me have to step out of my 'fro again. I like being a fan.
Hugs and Kisses,
"The Afro-Idiot"
